Blundell J, Finlayson G, Axelsen M, Flint A, Gibbons C, Kvist T, Hjerpsted JB. Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism. 2017.
Research published in Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism reported less hunger and food cravings and better control of eating with semaglutide than placebo after 12 weeks in 30 participants with obesity. This small trial does not establish that every patient will experience these effects or that food noise will disappear.
Wilding JPH, et al. New England Journal of Medicine. 2021.
Research published in the New England Journal of Medicine reported greater average weight reduction with semaglutide plus lifestyle intervention than with placebo plus lifestyle intervention in the studied population. Gastrointestinal adverse events occurred. This trial does not establish a guaranteed outcome or a food-noise response timeline.
Mozaffarian D, et al. Obesity Pillars. 2025.
Research published in Obesity Pillars reported a literature-based advisory on nutrition and lifestyle priorities during GLP-1 therapy. It discusses nutrient adequacy, muscle preservation and individualized care; it is not a trial of Seattle Trim Clinic. Corrections are linked from the publication record.
